The difference between MLM and affiliate marketing varies. MLM follows a hierarchy structure where your earning potential depends on who you recruit. Affiliate marketing pays based on sales generated from a personal link. That link usually leads to another company’s product while an MLM is typically a service (or product) that’s exclusive to one company.

Why are MLMs bad?

MLMs are considered bad because they usually offer products or services that are overpriced and have questionable benefits.

Depending on what’s being sold they can even be unsafe to use at times.

And probably the biggest issue with these business models is that you usually have to pay before you can even earn with them.

How I feel about affiliate marketing

I’ve been vocal about my appreciation for affiliate marketing.

The only problem though is that it gets a negative reputation at times.

It can be multiple reasons why someone may be turned off when the opportunity is presented.

There’s people who try too hard to make a sale, push a bad product, or presents it in a bad way.

It’s frustrating because it’s an honest profession that could be life changing for whoever approaches it in a professional way.

That’s actually why I decided to learn the strategies taught at Wealthy Affiliate to be a better marketer in this industry.

Affiliate Marketing always takes the cake over MLMs when you look at which of the 2 can be sustained longer.
