Why doesn’t Shikamaru fight at night?

I’ll be explaining why Shikamaru doesn’t fight at night.

For those who don’t know yet, Shikamaru is a ninja with exceptional skill when it comes to shadow manipulation jutsu.

This is a highly slept on character in Naruto and what we’re gonna do is figure out this restriction that he placed on himself when it comes to night missions.

Follow along and you’ll get the detailed explanation.

Why doesn’t shikamaru fight at night

Shikamaru chooses not to fight at night and it’s upsetting to think about because it could be a major advantage in observation. My reasons to see how it benefits him is that there would be less strain on his chakra usage and more range for reaching shadows with his techniques. The concrete explanation and it makes sense is that he would have trouble separating his enemy’s shadow from an ally.

Final thoughts

Shikamaru doesn’t have the flashiest Jutsu compared to his other Konoha counterparts but he’s easily one of the smartest ninja in the village.

He takes every precaution into measure when dealing with threats.

Just a little science and further understanding with how the ninjas move in the Naruto verse can reveal that Shikamaru’s decision is valid.

Because the ninjas move in teams Shikamaru can’t just think of himself when it comes to missions.

However I think that’s where if the village took each individual’s strengths into consideration then they would allow ninja such as him to move alone at night within range because of how powerful he could be at night.
