Hunter x Hunter Volume 1 Review

I’m recommending that you grab a copy of the Hunter x Hunter Volume 1 manga for a few reasons that’s worth mentioning. For starters it introduces the main character Gon pretty well and his soon to be friends that’s pursuing the title of being a hunter. The drawing is good and it transfers well over to the anime.

Why you should read volume 1

Volume 1 has a lot to unpack to start things off.

There’s plenty of action for the readers as soon as we meet Gon who’s presented as the main character in the story.

He’s shown as leaving his home town known called Whale Island on a journey to become a Hunter and meet his dad that he knows little about.

It goes on to introduce some characters (Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua) who’s clearly expected to play a role in Gon’s future.

The exam is shown to be a really difficult test as the group goes through an endurance test and series of riddles to prove themselves worthy of reaching the next level.

Final word

Hunter x Hunter Volume 1 is a great manga that’s worth your time.

It’s an intro for Gon and a few other characters that you’ll grow to appreciate even more later down the line.

There’s plenty of action and shows how detailed that hunters have to be in order to advance in the exam.
