I’ll be answering why Hunter x Hunter stopped.
Of course I’ll be going off the main source of the show (being the manga) so that’ll be my reference point.
Without any more time to waste let’s move forward to the question.
Why did Hunter x Hunter stop
Hunter x Hunter is one of 2 series (the other being Yu Yu Hakusho) that was written by Yoshihiro Togashi. He ended up stopping the production of Hunter x Hunter due to back problems. That led to the anime ending along with the manga for a brief moment of time. The hiatus ended since then and started a new selection of chapters moving forward.
There’s been plenty of new chapters that’s been released post anime.
We get a couple new arcs that introduces a new set of characters not seen before with the Dark Continent Arc and Succession Contest Arc.
There’s a matchup that fans been wanting to see between Hisoka and Chrollo.
And we also get an origin story for the entire Phanton Troupe.
