Why is manga viewed as better than comics?

I’ll be answering why manga is viewed as better than comics.

This is a question I have high expectations for when breaking it down because I bought both growing up but far more anime than comics.

It’s gonna do good to break it down because of the hood memories I had with them.

And you know what they say about feelings right?

They’re contagious.

So I see this as more of a care package of good intentions I’m planning on sharing with anyone that’s open minded enough to learn something about the industry.

But let’s get on with the question.

Why is manga viewed as better than comics

I personally think that mangas have more consistent shows that they translate over to, keeping them more relevant and for a longer period of time. But here’s some concrete points that are factual:

  • They sell more
  • More “bang for your buck“
  • Beginning to end

Now my claims of manga being more consistent and relevant than comics could be debatable but think about the last manga you know that had a good anime along with it.

Then think about the last great comic book that was adapted to TV.

There’s been way better movies from Comics and that seems fair to say it’s undeniable but that just feels right.

When you say “better“ it might just come down to your definition of success.

I’d say it’s what can gather fans and then bring them to the next channel effectively.

Because we’re still in a “visual preference” for learning era it makes whoever can take up the most screen time better in my book.

And that’s where in television anime has comics beat.
