I’ll be answering why companies use subliminal messages.
There’s some that’s clever and there’s some that looks corny.
Subliminals are something that’s been around since marketing was discovered to be a competitive game amongst other marketers and it continues to get better as we get advancements in technology.
We’re gonna look at why companies choose to send these type of messages out today.
So without any more time to waste let’s move forward.
Why do companies use subliminal messages
Companies choose to use subliminal messages when they want an audience to think deeper into what was communicated. There’s so many ways they can get to the point with these subliminal. It can be shown through different colors, shapes and words. They’re meant to affect behavior and can be shown on any form of media you can think of.
What counts as subliminal messages?
There’s a few ways that you can count a message as subliminal.
It’s traditionally the combination of words and or images that extends past our conscious line of thought.
So it’s saying one thing physically but communicating another thing mentally.
It’s actually very common to do on social media when the message applies to a specific person or type of person without directly addressing them.
Final thoughts
Subliminals can be a fun thing to experience when it’s done in a clever way.
There’s even serious Subliminals that I put in the same category as propaganda.
Often these type of messages convince people to join groups and teams that they didn’t even know they were joining.
But on a lighter note they can be a coded message that only people who are really in tune with the brand will get.
It comes down to psychology mixed with marketing and innovating the approach to make it effective.
