I’ll be answering why pool cues warp.
I don’t know a lot about pool but I’ve played my fair share of games.
I actually got the idea to write this post after listening to my favorite episode of the twilight zone radio series.
A game of pool.
I guess you can say I’m bringing the fiction to reality by answering this common question relating to the game.
Anyways let’s get to the question.
Why do pool cues warp
The warping of a pool cues is usually the issue of taking care of it properly. And there’s two common reasons that warping could happen:
- The temperature change it experiences
- Side pressure
Overall, moisture is the main reason it comes down to in most cases but that constant pressure on the instrument could very well be the culprit.
Final thoughts
I’m still not an expert on the topic, but it sounds predictable when it comes to figuring out why a pool cue could get warped:
- Moisture from the temperature change
- Repetitive pressure on the cue itself
If you invest in a hard case, it’ll provide better protection for your cue.
Maybe a few reviews on my favorites will be in order depending on how well this does.
Either way, see you on the next one.
