I want to look at the headbands that are used in Naruto.
What do the Naruto headbands mean?
The different headbands represent whichever affiliation a certain ninja is with.
There’s a different style for each village depending on where you’re from.
There’s the leaf, mist, sand, sound, waterfall, rock, cloud, rain, and grass.
There’s a few sub designs we can call them that are less popular but the ones mentioned are the main.
There’s a lot of pride that goes with wearing the headband and it’s acknowledge as early as the first episode of Naruto when he (Naruto) openly expresses his desire for having a headband.
It shows anybody who walks by that you’re an official ninja and passed the tests it takes to become a full fledged shinobi.
