A few of my favorite Anime Series

I’m gonna double down on a few of my favorite anime series.

Wow, I’m feeling a little repetitive when it comes to this topic.

But if it’s passion it’s alright, fair enough?

Good.

Let’s get to these anime.

What are fans of anime called?

Who asks what are fans of anime called?

I’m not judging but if you like what you do then I guess you’re gonna want to know the ins and outs of it as well.

Well lucky you because I have the answer, and these type of fans are called a Japanese word.

And that word is an Otaku.

This covers people who consume anything related to anime culture (which includes but’s not limited to: manga and video games).

According to ComicBook.com they say that there’s 10 words every fan of anime should know:

  • Urusai
  • Harem
  • Fan service
  • Kawaii
  • Tsundere
  • Ecchi / Hentai
  • Senpai
  • Baka
  • Weeaboo
  • Otaku (of course)

What does psychology say about people who watch anime?

Psychology research says that people who watch anime and arguably more interesting hip-hop fans are associated with anxiety, aggression, depression and suicidal symptoms.

It’s crazy that all of these negative traits are connected with this genre because there’s a lot of serious situations in these shows but there’s good times as well.

There’s another theme that’s pretty well represented in anime, and it’s friendship.

Most of these shows capture a bond that’s created and developed amongst characters that help make up the series.

It’s leaving a lot of people who like breaking down the meaning of popularity when it comes to this industry as to whether because it’s origins are from Japan make a difference in how it’s viewed.

And honestly I think it may have something to do with it.

I say that because it’s origin is from there and because a lot of the stories take place in Japan when it’s applied to the real world it could hit different for someone that’s from Japan as opposed to someone from the U.S. for example.

Which anime has the biggest fanbase?

There’s a lot of different sources around the internet that share different answers on which anime has the biggest fanbase, but I have a rough list of the most popular that comes up often, they’re:

  • Naruto
  • One Piece
  • Bleach
  • Dragon Ball
  • Attack on Titan
  • My Hero Academia
  • One Punch Man
  • Pokémon
  • Death Note
  • Fullmetal Alchemist
  • Fairy Tail
  • Demon Slayer
  • Full Metal Panic

If I had to point to one that makes a lot of different lists then I might have to go with One Piece.

It’s that, Naruto and Dragon Ball.

What anime should I watch first?

When it comes to answering what anime should I watch first the decision’s unanimous.

That show is Death Note.

It’s a pretty short story when compared to other anime.

This is a show that I think is highly slept on and was glad I gave it a shot when it was first aired on adult swim.

They never finished airing the entire show but it can be found on multiple streaming platforms to this day.

It’s possible one of the best cat-mouse stories with an incredibly creative tool of destruction being the centerpiece of weaponry when it comes to the story.

Final thoughts

These are all great anime in their own ways.

If you’re already aware of the creativity that anime brings to the table then you’ll most likely already be familiar with a few of these titles.

I’ll be sure to expand on a few of these shows for you diehard fans.

Hopefully you learned something from this and you’ll be able to share with someone you think would appreciate this perspective.

Other than that I’m pretty sure this captures a fair general overview of the anime market.
