I’ve been pretty quiet about my drinking habits.
I personally prefer simple alcoholic drinks
That means I’ll take whisky, rum, bourbon, or brandy.
Brandy Liquor
Brandy’s a spirit made from distilled wine or other fermented fruit juices.
With that knowledge I’m sure you can tell it’s more of a sweeter taste.
There’s 4 different types of Brandy you can get:
- Calvados
- Pisco
- Armagnac
- Applejack
The drink is often confused with cognac but the unique thing about it is every cognac is a brandy but it’s not necessarily the other way around.
Whisky Liquor
Whisky is any type of distilled liquors that’s made from a fermented mash of cereal grains and usually aged in wooden containers.
There’s also 4 types of whisky you can find:
- Scotch
- Bourbon
- Canadian
- Irish Whisky
It’s reputation comes from being a very strong alcoholic drink.
The most popular type that you could find here in the states would probably be crown royal.
That was my first experience with it and I enjoyed it since.
Rum Liquor
Rum is a type of spirit that’s made from sugarcane molasses or the juice.
There’s 3 types that you can find:
- White
- Darked
- Spiced
It’s considered a hard liquor because of its high alcohol contents.
There’s a few that come to mind when talking about the most popular:
- Ten to One Dark Rum
- Myrtle Bank 10 Year Old Jamaican Rum
- Bumbu the Original Rum
Bourbon Liquor
Now bourbon is constantly compared to whisky but there is a difference with bourbon being mixed with corn (while both share grain).
My personal favorite would be Jack Daniel’s and probably the most popular as well.
If you’re gonna spend money on bourbon then it’s wise to spend at least $30, anything lower than that runs the risk of a bad product.
Because it’s also associated with Whisky it’s worth adding that bourbon is actually the smoother of the 2 if you care about strength.
Conclusion
This was meant to be more of a reveal into my character if anything.
It’s just good that I’m able to hopefully start a discussion about everyone’s favorite drink.
You might think that I’m completely sold on dark liquors but there’s a few lighter drinks that I’ll probably grab before some dark.
If you’re still scratching your head on why I made this post then that’s okay, I’ll probably update it as I see fit.
But if you’re less judgmental then I encourage you to drop down your favorite alcohol below.
You know holidays are coming up and that’s a common social tool.
Other than that thanks for reading and I’ll catch you on the next.
