Why is my weed burning black ash? (Explained)

I’ll be answering why weed could be burning black ash.

Why is my weed burning black ash

Weed that burns black ash might be something you experience if you obtain “medical grade” weed. This could also be the case with White Ash as well. But this could be the case because it wasn’t flushed properly or even the plant was overfed with fertilizers.

The plant’s overfed with fertilizers

According to geaseeds.com they claim that causes your flower to grow in a way that makes the leaves bend downward with a claw like appearance.

Fast Buds say that there’s signs of overfed plants.

Royal Queen Seeds calls this a nutrient burn that adds stress to the plant influencing its development.

Sensory Seeds says there’s a way to detect this issue and even fix the situation possibly by using a TDS Meter.

Wasn’t flushed properly

After checking out organitek.com they say weed that’s not flushed properly will make the flower taste bad and give off a black look.

Cleanleaf Air Filtration Systems says that this process is done to remove buildup from the roots and soil of a plant.

This claim is consistent in plenty of other articles after review saying the same thing:

  • The plant tastes bad
  • Color comes out to where it looks close to exhaust from a car

Those are just a few things but make a big difference in your experience while smoking.

White Ash

According to Cannabis Business Times they say that white ash symbolizes properly flushed, dried and cured materials.

And Claybourne Co says the white color is dependent on Resin levels and has a myth attached where people think just because it comes from some weed that it’s better than black ash.

Plain and simply put its just not true.

What’s medical weed

According to City of Milwaukee they say the term means to use the whole unprocessed marijuana plant, even it’s basic extracts to treat illness.

After checking out GoodRx it identifies the differences between medical and recreational by needing a doctor’s note for the first.

The main point that I learned from the articles was that medical is specifically used in order to treat a specific issue that supports whatever procedure that a doctor was working with you on.

Cannabis FAQs Part 1

What color should good weed be?

It should be deep green with orange or red hairs on the flower.

Visiting back to the ash again, it’s actually encouraged to have a white color and have a soft/powdery feel to it.

It’s tough to say that good weed has to have a specific shade of green to be considered better than the next but it does come in many different colors.

It can come in the following colors:

  • Orange
  • Red
  • Yellow
  • Purple
  • Black

Each color has a unique trait that makes it desirable.

Orange

For example, orange is meant to give off a taste of citrus.

To (add to) it the orange strand also adds feelings off energy and creativity.

It’s considered a hybrid strand that’s known to have a high level of THC.

The best way to achieve this type of strain is to breed it with alkaline water.

There’s actually 5 types of orange strands that are well known.

The same goes for yellow as well.

Red

This strand is popular for having a calming effect.

It also is well known for causing a physical sensation that’s boosted and increased body awareness.

When it’s grown it can reach heights of up to six feet when done on land.

The coolest fact about it is that it’s combined with three different strands and they’re:

  • Ruderalis
  • Indica
  • Sativa

That’s a pretty whacky combination right?

Let’s continue.

Yellow

This color has plenty of different strands that’s popular in the market.

Some of the names well known are:

  • Lemon Haze
  • Golden Lemon
  • Strawberry Banana

Similar to the orange they’re known to have effects that are close to sharpened creativity and increases senses.

Their flowers are highly potent and have a scent that’s known to even attract bees to the buds.

Purple

This commonly is made as an indica that also shares the feelings of euphoria, energy and creativity.

It’s also used a lot with medical grade prescriptions as it’s healing properties can include curing mild aches in the body, and relaxation of muscles.

Purple Haze being one of the most popular strands for this color was big enough to even inspire Jimmy Hendrix to make the song Purple Haze.

It’s not necessarily a feeling associated to that fact but I can assure that song does make people feel a way.

Black

Otherwise known as The Black it’s a strong 90% of indica based weed that dates back as far as the 1980s.

It’s known for having numerous strand names such as:

  • Black Mamba
  • Black Jack
  • Black Widow
  • Black Diesel
  • Black Domina
  • Vietnamese Black
  • The Black
