Why is Black Flash a zombie? (explained)

I’ll be answering why Black Flash is a zombie.

This mutation of the flash as we know our favorite superhero is a one of a kind.

Most of his existence is a mystery (at least in the comics).

I always thought dark versions of popular characters were pretty cool growing up with these fictional stories as a child.

Actually there’s an even better example.

If you ever played Kingdom Hearts and played 2 specifically then you might’ve heard about anti Sora.

That’s what I think is the closest thing to this version of flash.

Why is Black Flash a zombie

It’s because he’s the grim reaper of all speedsters. His claws are the main thing that give him the monster like appearance. And I got a theory as to why we were even introduced to a black flash, it involves 2 possibilities:

  • The variants of Flash are too fast for death itself
  • It’s a side effect in connection to using the Speed Force

What really happened to Zoom?

According to GameFAQs they say that in the finale of Flash season 2 Zoom was taken down by the time wraiths and turned into a zombie.

Being known as the grim reapers of speedsters he’s very similar to the normal looking variants of flash with only a menacing look.

It’s actually reminiscent of how Spider-Man has the black suit transformation except it’s actually a mutation of the entire person’s body.

This post came about in response to my own answer to this prompt I answered earlier.

I’m genuinely interested in the flash and a few other characters from DC.

It’s kind of cool that this came about after dropping my earlier post on the ultimate guide to everything black, especially since this aligns with what I said near the end of it.

Other than that thanks for reading and catch me on the next post.
