It’s AJ, and this is my commercialized blog site, where I can share my lifestyle interests and provide thoughtful insights on topics worth discussing.

Here’s a prompt I answered on if money don’t matter.

List three jobs you’d consider pursuing if money didn’t matter.

  • Music
  • Film/Acting
  • Visual Artistry

Music

I first chose music because of how active the industry gets.

Although money is a big factor in how much an artist is played it’s still a form of talking that’s highly appreciated.

I didn’t always have that desire to do music though, it came with the evolution of the art as I was following it actively during my school years.

These are the big areas that caught my attention and made it so attractive to me:

  • The beats
  • Flows
  • Styles

Hip-hop beats

I didn’t always keep up with hip-hop and it took me reflecting on a element that caught my ear literally.

The beats are a big part of what makes the genre so cool.

Early on it felt really basic and corny because for whatever reason the beats sounded average.

I’m someone who grew up around multiple genres but I can say that hip-hop started getting cool to me when remixes and freestyles got popular.

I knew it was the beats when I would have heard a song on the radio and would do what most would do, bop their head to the song but not even really know the lyrics.

I think that had something to do with it too but then when the streaming era would emerge it allowed artists I’ve never heard before get on a song that I recognized.

That recognition factor had to play a role because it allowed me to hear less popular rappers and give the whole song a chance.

Eventually it would lead to me hearing dozens of remixes to the original song and help me discover I’m someone who really likes to fall in love with the best before anything.

As far as when money became a factor was when I was interested in making it myself and learning you have to pay for the beats.

That can hold a lot of people from emerging because of the cost but if the beats and equipment were free then I (and I’m sure plenty of others) would just create as much as possible.

The flows

The lyrics were another aspect of music that I liked because it would unlock something I would like about the song called the flow.

Style of hip-hop

Another part of music that makes it so fun to be a part of is the look that the rapper could create and end up making cool from the sounds they would make.

When you fall in love with the music you seem to like everything that the artist does and that definitely includes the way they dress as well.

Final thoughts

You probably thought I meant the song:

Well I wasn’t.

This was a prompt I answered on my WordPress app.

They’re pretty good to do when I need to do some reflecting.

I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to do activities that make you better by thinking outside of the box.

Give it a try if you’re open to something new.
