I’ll be explaining why Vegeta has so much pride.

There’s many who think pride and ego can work in your favor (and it’s easy to see why you would think it works for Vegeta) but what if I told you it actually hurts him?

We’ve seen multiple times in the DBZ series where Vegeta’s pride was thrown right back in his face and he was forced to eat his own words.

My personal favorite was in the DBZ Broly movie.

Same as how there’s people who think it works for him there’s also people (myself included) who think it’s just stupid for him to have.

Let’s get into the question.

Why does Vegeta have so much pride

It’s cuz he reflects and thinks about his people’s past. He’s also highly confident to add to things. He likes to analyze situations. Vegeta believes he trains the hardest out of everyone and tributes it to being prince of all Saiyans as why.

What makes Vegeta someone that cares about self reflection so much?

Vegeta has plenty to think of considering he was the prince of an entire race of warriors that were obliterated in a single moment.

His past up until DBZ explains where he was heading until meeting Goku and having his whole life changed.

He was somebody that literally killed his partners while in pursuit of a mission involving taking over Earth.

What makes Vegeta so confident?

Vegeta could be seen as confident because of his Saiyan lineage.

Being prince of Saiyans gives him plenty to be confident about.

His power level was greater than the rest of his race and that entitled him to those feelings before meeting Goku.

He even had this confidence after deciding to stay on Earth and make it his home.

He’s learned to trust the power of Saiyans and witnesses firsthand how it ends up coming through when fighting any threats.
