Why Amy should be in the third Sonic Movie (4 reasons why)

I’ll be making my case for why Amy should be in the Sonic movie.

She’s someone that’s introduced very early in every Sonic story.

Why Amy should be in the third Sonic Movie

Amy should be in the third Sonic movie because of her importance to the franchise as being known as Sonic’s girlfriend.

The only way I could see her being neglected from the film is depending on how much of the focus is on Shadow. We could even see Rouge before Amy. From a filming standpoint the only other thing would be if casting will make a difference in if it’s in this film.

Will Shadow be in Sonic 3?

With Keanu Reeves being announced as the voice of shadow in the movie it’s 100% confirmed that he’ll be added in the movie.

Rest assured of it not being a rumor.

On top of Shadow’s arrival there’s also a guarantee in Robotnik’s appearance too.

Those 2 facts alone could take up the entire story but there’s also the chance in adding Amy or even Metal Sonic.

What is Amy’s purpose in Sonic?

Amy is meant to be the girlfriend to Sonic and tries to win his heart by any means in their adventures.

This actually supports her case for being in the movie because of her encounter with Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2.

In the tv series Sonic X she helps with nursing Sonic and his friends.

Her role in Sonic gameplay dates all the way back to the earlier games.

Pushing forward it even continues in the modern games.

Amy’s only playable in a few of the mini games so it’s tough to believe that she’ll be placed in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

We can expect Shadow to be in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 thanks to the post credit scene at the end of the second movie.

And because of that it’s only fair to assume the story will mirror the storyline in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

But that’s also what makes the chances of seeing Amy not too good.

Other than the mini games mentioned earlier Amy’s shown in a few of the cutscenes as well.

One of the most memorable for me is when she mistakes Shadow for Sonic.

In defense of having hope to see Amy in one of the movies though based on the game’s storyline is actually dependent on that cutscene where she sees Shadow.

That actually takes place on the space Ark and that in itself was a major part of the story so there’s that!

I could see the writers adding her into the story if there’s some reason Sonic has to go back home.

There’s that or even if she gets introduced in some way depending on how the Knuckles series goes.

I will add in the fact that it would be good fan service to add her eventually since she’s one of the core characters of the entire series.

I’d like everybody to get their shine eventually.

Especially when we’re discussing a girl character that could be an icon for an entire gender’s community.

What is Amy supposed to be in Sonic?

Amy is a pink hedgehog.

She’s in Sonic’s age range but a solution that most fans would like to see is keep Cream and Cheese younger.

Amy’s had her moments where she was seen as a joke more often than not when dealing with Sonic.

Amy came about around the same time Metal Sonic debuted in the games too to solidify her status in the story.

She’s known to have character growth that’s shown in even Sonic Adventure 2.

The way she’s grown as a character shows that she can be a leader at some point in the Sonic story.

Why does Sonic reject Amy?

Sonic rejects Any because she’s impulsive.

She does things that end up embarrassing him and feel uncomfortable.

From a writing standpoint it’s traditional to have a heroic character have someone that continues to chase them romantically.

If you ask most fans they’ll agree she’s overly obsessed with Sonic.

The role switch narrative has to stop with if it were a man pushing a female lead because it doesn’t apply here.
