Why Did Chucky Stop Going After Andy? (Explained)

I’ll be answering why Chucky stopped going after Andy.

Why Did Chucky Stop Going After Andy?

There’s really only one good reason Chucky stopped going after Andy:

  • He found a new body

Overall I think it was a good call to switch up Chucky’s target with becoming human again. It organically extended the story and helped introduce new characters that we would grow to appreciate.

New Body

Chucky was spending the entire first and second movie trying to transfer his soul into Andy’s body, we know that.

But do you remember what he realized after tracking Andy down at military school?

When he met Tyler he remembered that he had a new doll body, so he had a chance to reveal his “secret” to him and put him in place of Andy.

Tyler was his new “golden ticket” because he was already beat by Andy twice.

All of this takes place in Child’s Play 3.
