It’s AJ, and this is my commercialized blog site, where I can share my lifestyle interests and provide thoughtful insights on topics worth discussing.

I’ll be discussing why I (and probably you at some point) thought Inuyasha takes place in feudal Japan.

It’s what Kagome refers to as the time period in which she arrives when falling into her family’s shrine.

I was reminded about this fact when watching one of the movies and decided to look more into it.

Let’s continue though.

Why Does Inuyasha Take Place In Feudal Japan?

It was the perfect place to tell the story, according to Rumiko Takahashi. To be more specific, the story actually takes place during a time called the Sengoku Period.

Overall I agree with the call to have the story be told in this time period. With the combination of the art style, design of the characters and their development, it makes the show very watchable.
