can you be successful without social media (answered)

I’ll be answering if you can be successful without social media.

Assuming you’re looking to sell a service or product, this may be something to come to terms with.

To use social media or not.

You may have had a business before this digital age, and feel you can go without it.

We’ll look at if it could work out that way.

can you be successful without social media

You don’t need social media to run your small successful. There’s an option in asking for referrals. You can also create posters in expectation that people will read it. A blog could be another great option. At the least, an ad campaign may be worth your time.

is it ok to ask for a referral

Referrals are great ways to expand business.

It’s a normal process of the client growth strategy.

If you ask someone who’s likely to use your service then chances are that they’ll be more likely to refer you to someone they know.

There’s many different ways you can go about asking for a referral.

You may send an email, letter or even social media dm.

It’s an intimidating process but worth it overall, it projects you to the top of the list for the next person who wants what you have to offer.

When you see more success with this method you’ll find that you can get referrals almost effortlessly.

Do people actually read posters?

According to Western Washington University, a study supports the claim 47.1% of students read posters they see on campus.

Effectiveness Of Posters On Campus

They go on to add that 52.9% of students rarely read them, but over 80% also believe that posters have some importance.

A poster should only be an enhancement tool to solidify what’s already being said.

Yes, it’s okay to put time towards adding text and information on a board that people would see, but the selling point is in what’s spoken.

They’re great for use at a public conference or showcase of talent, but it should only be meant to draw in.

is a blog considered social media

Social media is defined as a blog, other self-publishing journal or platform alike, but in further detail, blogging and social media are different.

While there are blogs that are considered social media, some are also not.

When we think of traditional social media, we tend to think of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and such.

Why do we separate it from a blog now?

It most likely has to do with the 2-way street intention of communication that social media encourages.

Social media to some extent is meant for others to comment on the things you say and have it lead to further discussion.

On a blog, it’s a little different in you have the option of provoking a response, but at the same time you could also just be sharing info.

is advertising necessary

Advertising is a form of marketing that’s done to reach your potential audience and encourage them to buy something.

The goal is to communicate a message that inspires them to interact with the media.

There’s multiple benefits from deciding to advertise your business.

It can increase sales, retain customers and increase brand presence (to name only a few).

For many businesses owners it’s a must have when getting their name out in front of clients.

The opportunity that advertising brings is being able to target a specific audience with any message that’s made exclusive to them.

It’s safe to say that advertising amplifies anything that you’re doing in your business.

It’s simply reflecting what’s going on with you and most often your plans for the future.
