Can you play Spell Cards from your hand?

Yes.

Main Phase

Traditionally speaking, you are supposed to play your spell cards in either your Main Phase 1 or even the second one of your turn.

The only exception is where you would typically be able to use a Quick Play Spell during your own turn or your opponent’s.

The sneaky part about a Quick Play is that it can be activated from either your hand, or while set on the field.
