Why is Michael Myers obsessed with Laurie?

Laurie is actually the blood sister of Michael Myers. After the events of the 2018 Halloween movie, he still continues this obsession because she’s the one that got away from him.

She’s his blood sister

In most of the movies, Laurie is recognized as the sister of Michael Myers.

It was in Halloween H20 where she finds out that her half brother broke out of a mental institution.

However, we do find out in Halloween 2 that her relationship to Michael was kept secret.

It was a little bit of a question as to why Michael was interested in her, but the first encounter was fate.

Laurie was dropping off a key at Michael’s old house to her father, and that’s looked at his territory.

Completion anxiety

It’s safe to say that Michael has a bit of completion anxiety in relation to Laurie Strode after the events of Halloween 2018.

Warning, there’s spoilers ahead.

Laurie seemingly defeats Michael and leaves him alone in his home to have it burned down with him in it.

However, when we reach Halloween Kills, he escapes and has her in mind for revenge.

They were joined by fate after she was the only one who encountered him, got away and lived to tell the tale of his existence.
